Quote of the Week; Lao-tzu and Cromwell

” Before time, and throughout time, there has been a self existing being, eternal, infinite, complete, omnipresent…. Outside this being, before the beginning, there was nothing.”Lao tzu, Tao te ching, 600 BC, English translation by Bryce, 1991, p.13. Notice how well the ancient Chinese concept of God matches Scripture.

“I could not riding out alone about my business, but smile out to God in praises, in assurance of victory because God would, by things that are not, bring to naught the things that are.”

Cromwell quoted while riding out before the battle of Naseby. 1645.
